203 North College Street
Greeneville, TN  37745

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Greeneville was the seat of government from 1785-1788 and changed hands several times. The original cabin was believed to have been located near the intersection of Main and Depot Streets.  The area once known as the State of Franklin would become part of Upper East Tennessee, with John Sevier returning triumphantly as the first governor of Tennessee. The site includes the replica of the cabin and Tennessee State historical marker.
