A lineup of new storefronts are available for interested retailers at the new Ingles Markets, located at 2845 E. Andrew Johnson Highway.
Construction workers wrapped up the exteriors of the storefronts earlier this week, but no tenants have yet signed up for the space, according to Ingles Chief Financial Officer Ron Freeman.
“It will be tenant space of between 1,200 and 6,000 square feet,” Freeman wrote in a recent email. “We do not have anyone lined up yet, but interested parties can contact our real estate department for additional information.”
Early site plans for the Ingles project provided by Greeneville Planner Asong Venard show the adjoining space of nearly 6,200 square feet labeled “shops.”
“The separate shop will be tenant space for someone that would like to operate a complementary business in a project that will have lots of traffic heading to our store,” Freeman wrote in a December email reply to questions from the Sun. “We have not yet begun soliciting a tenant.”
The grocery store reopened at the site in February and is now double the size of the previous building at nearly 70,000 square feet. It features a Starbucks, Gas Express, pharmacy, bakery and ready-to-eat deli that includes an Asian bar.
